Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. Chef. Educator. Food lover.
Food has always been at the center of my life.
I trained at the French Culinary Institute in New York City, graduating with honors with a Grand Diploma in Culinary Arts. I went on to spend more than 20 years working in hospitality, culinary arts, personal chef services, events, and client-centered businesses.
I founded Table Gatherings, a personal chef and event business built around meals, life and memories.
Those years taught me something I still carry into my work today:
Food is about so much more than nutrition.
Food brings people together. It creates connection, celebration, comfort, memories, and community.
I never wanted to lose that joy when I entered the world of nutrition.
I wanted to bring the two worlds together.
So I became a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner through the Nutritional Therapy Association, combining my culinary experience with education in nutrition, physiology, and the foundational systems that support health.
Today, I love helping people take nutrition out of the realm of information and into the realm of action—where we actually live, eat, work, travel, celebrate, and sometimes just need dinner to be easy.
1
Nutrient-Dense Diet
Whole, thoughtfully prepared, foods are a source of joy and nourish the body with the nutrients it needs to thrive.
2
Optimal Digestion
What we eat has little impact if we can’t digest and absorb the nutrients. Proper digestive function is essential for the health of every cell and system.
3
Blood Sugar Regulation
From energy balance, metabolism, and inflammation to hormone production and mental health, blood sugar regulation is crucial to maintaining wellness.
4
Quality Sleep
Adequate, quality sleep is essential for optimal physiological and cognitive function.
5
Stress Management
We cannot always control our stressors, but managing our response to stress has profoundly positive physical and mental impacts on health.
My passion for nutrition is also deeply personal.
I've lived with Crohn's disease for more than 25 years, including significant challenges and bowel resection surgery in 2021.
Living with a chronic digestive condition has given me firsthand experience with how complicated it can feel to navigate food, digestion, symptoms, and your relationship with your food and body.
That experience is a big part of why GI and digestive health has become a particular area of focus in my work.
Through my own journey and my education as an NTP, I've developed a deep appreciation for the foundational pieces that influence how we feel and function:
Nutrient-dense, whole-food nutrition
Digestion and digestive health
Blood sugar regulation
Sleep and circadian rhythms
Stress and resilience
Because digestion doesn't happen in isolation.
How we nourish ourselves, manage stress, sleep, regulate blood sugar, and live day-to-day can all be part of the bigger picture of wellness.
One of the things I love most about nutrition is teaching.
I'm not interested in handing people a complicated list of rules and telling them what they should be doing.
I want to help people understand why these foundations matter, learn how to recognize what their own bodies may be communicating, and discover practical ways to make healthier choices in real life.
That might happen around a table.
In a group.
During a corporate wellness workshop.
Through a cooking or food-focused experience.
Or through individual nutrition support.
However we connect, my goal is the same:
Listen. Educate. Simplify. Encourage. Empower.
And because I'm a chef, I also want those tools to include food that tastes good, feels approachable, and makes you excited to sit down at the table.
I believe there is something powerful about learning in community.
When people gather together, share experiences, ask questions, learn something new, and encourage one another, wellness becomes less overwhelming—and often a lot more fun.
That's why my work centers around group wellness and nutrition education, along with corporate wellness programs that make healthy living practical, approachable, and relevant to everyday life.
Group Wellness
Through live group classes, workshops, and educational experiences, I help people learn about the foundations of nutrition and wellness in a supportive, engaging environment.
Rather than focusing on perfection or complicated rules, we focus on understanding, practical application, and sustainable habits.
Corporate Wellness
I also partner with organizations and teams to bring practical nutrition and wellness education into the workplace.
From wellness workshops and Lunch & Learns to multi-week group programs, my goal is to give employees information they can actually use—supporting healthier habits, nourishment, energy, stress management, and overall well-being.
Because wellness education doesn't have to feel like another thing on someone's to-do list.
It can be useful, engaging, and enjoyable.
I believe there is no single perfect way of eating or living.
Nutrition is bio-individual, and what supports one person's body may not be the right approach for another.
My approach is grounded in foundational nutrition and lifestyle practices, with a particular interest in digestive health.
Rather than chasing the latest diet, trend, or quick fix, I believe in going back to the basics:
Nourish the body. Support digestion. Balance blood sugar. Prioritize sleep. Manage stress. Build sustainable habits.
And then make those foundations work for your actual life.
As an NTP, my role is to provide nutrition education and foundational wellness support—not to diagnose, treat, or cure disease. When appropriate, I believe in working alongside your existing healthcare team. Let’s link arms together!
My own health journey has included hard seasons, unexpected turns, plenty of trial and error, and a whole lot of learning.
I wouldn't have chosen every part of that journey.
But it shaped me.
It gave me compassion for people who feel frustrated or overwhelmed by nutrition information. It taught me that progress isn't always linear. And it showed me how powerful it can be to have someone walk alongside you, offer encouragement, and help make the next step feel possible.
That's the kind of practitioner—and educator—I want to be.
Kind. Compassionate. Practical. Encouraging. Engaging.
I want nutrition to feel less overwhelming and more empowering.
I want people to feel supported rather than judged.
And I want there to be room for both nourishment and joy.
Because food is one of the ways we care for ourselves.
And it's one of the ways we care for one another.
This is where my two passions meet:
The kitchen and nutritional therapy.
And now, I get to use both to help people learn, connect, and build healthier foundations for life.
Loving people through nutrition.
